Cheerball, more commonly known as cheer/dance ball is a formal dance much like homecoming. Although instead of the whole school attending only cheerleaders and dance teams are invited. The school districts involved are Shawnee Mission, Gardner, Blue Valley, and Olathe. Such as any formal dance you get dressed up, take pictures and go out to dinner with a group of friends before the dance.

Last year, the event was hosted in Bluevalley. Unfortunately, after things got too crazy and a few people got in trouble, they chose not to rehost it this year. Because of these incidents, many schools were reluctant to host it.

Thankfully, Olathe North stepped up to the plate and will now be hosting cheerball. The dance it schelduled to go from 8 to 11 p.m. and is expected to be a wonderful time.
