This year, Wesr is hosting the annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes fundraiser. The money raised goes to help victims of domestic violence through Safe Home.

During this event, any male student can donate $5 to walk a mile “in her shoes”, wearing high heels. This mile long trek raises awareness for domestic violence and creates appreciation for women. T-shirts for the event cost $10, but wearing a t-shirt counts as your ticket to walk a mile, high heels will be provided for the walkers.

Supposedly, Moles, Dory, and Onnen will be walking, so you can’t miss that. Arrive at South in between the JV and Varsity girls soccer games to watch this exciting walk.

The event will take place Wednesday, April 16 at the Shawnee Mission South District Stadium. Those who are going to walk should arrive at 6:30.
