This past week the Lady Vikings took home a third place plaque at the state cross country meet. With all five of the team’s scorers finishing in the top 40. The fastest finish on the team came from freshman Lindsey Rowatt finishing twelfth with a time of 15:45. Although the team’s oldest runner being a junior and the top five either sophomores or freshmen, the runners still had high expectations.

“I was expecting us to get into the top three although nobody else thought we could.” sophomore Riley Kaiser said.

All of the top seven are returning next year which gives the team the opportunity to repeat what they’ve accomplished this year.
