The third block Photo Journalism class, advised by Amy Morgan, had their gallery opening last night. Each student in the class picked their favorite photo they have taken over the years at West.

Senior Rachel Harvey, the photo editor for West’s journalism department, was excited to see photojournalism being highlighted and appreciated.

“‘A true diva is graceful and talented and strong and fearless and brave and someone with humility,’ Beyonce once stated. I was able to organize this gallery because of this quote. The photojournalists work really hard outside of school and most their work isn’t viewed until the end of the year so it was fabulous for us to have this photo gallery” Harvey said.

The photos will be on display now through December 12 in the Patron’s Art Gallery on the north side of the West building.
