How many years have you been teaching? at West?

30 total. In the middle of my years at West I spent three years at Westridge and two years in Europe with with my husband. He was the Diplomatic Liaison between the United States and German governments to get German computer war gaming systems up to speed.

What class(es) do you teach?

Algebra 1, Algebra 3, AP Calculus AB

Where are you from?

I was born in Minnesota, but raised in Orlando, FL

Where did you go to college?

University of Florida. Go Gators!

Did you always want to be a teacher?

Yes, but I changed my mind when I went to college. I wanted to go for the money and be an engineer, but then I changed my mind again and became a teacher.

What do you do in your spare time?

Lots! I like to golf, read, go to places that I can listen to music (concerts, bars with live music), dance, watch sports, go to art museums.

Fun Facts:

  • She was in a singing group when she was younger and traveled all around Florida including Disney World.
  • She finds this new technology difficult.
  • Born a polydactyl, which means she had three thumbs.
