Shawnee Mission West Dance Team’s Spring Show is being held on April 10th at 7:00 p.m. in the SMW auditorium. Spring Show is a showcase for the dancers to show what they have been working on throughout the year. They will have 38 dances performed from the JV and Varsity squads. Solos, duets, and other group dances will also be performed. The dancers have been working extra hard this past month to make sure all the dances are perfected.

“I think all the hard work we’ve put in this year will definitely show throughout the night,” Senior Gabby Reed said.

They began practicing their dances after football and flag season. The dance team has early morning practices where they get in extra practice before school and then they practice during first block. They perform dances that they learned at camp this past summer and also dances that they competed with in their three competitions. They will also perform the dances that they performed during halftime of the home basketball games. For seniors, this will be their last performance with the dance team.

“I’m slightly dreading April 10th, only because it will be my last performance with the people I’ve grown so close to,” Senior Perry Steinman said.

Adult tickets are $8 and Student tickets are $5.

“We can’t wait to show everyone what we’ve ben working on all year,” Sophomore Emily Tracy said.
